- MGELITE | #1 Skill Development Basketball Program
Mike Glennon Elite the #1 skill development training-based travel program for the AAU spring/summer season in the South Side of Chicago. Mike Glennon Elite is dedicated to total player development that is proven to elevate your game! #1 DEVELOPMENT-DRIVEN TEAM ENVIRONMENT MGELITE is a competitive travel basketball program designed for players who want to improve their game, compete the right way, and grow within a structured, team-first environment. We believe real development happens when individual skill work, basketball IQ, and team concepts are taught together — not in isolation. Our approach prioritizes long-term player development while still providing high-level competition. Practices are intentional, teaching is detailed, and players are consistently challenged to apply what they learn in game-like situations. Through this process, athletes build strong skill habits, confidence in their role, and a deeper understanding of the game that carries into their school seasons and beyond. THE MG ELITE DIFFERENCE GAME-LIKE LEARNING Practices are built around decision-making, not just drills. We intentionally design segments using a Constraints-Led Approach (CLA) so players are constantly reading, reacting, and making game-like decisions — the same ones they’ll face on weekends. Teach > Rep > Apply Two practices. One clear purpose. With two practices per week, our goal is simple: teach, rep, then apply during weekend games. Practices aren’t rushed — they’re intentional and connected to how we expect players to play. Advanced Concepts We go beyond basic sets and coverages. Players are exposed to advanced ideas — offensive flow, actions, spacing concepts, and defensive nuances like peel switching, help rules, and coverage reads — all taught at an age-appropriate level. Individual Feedback Players receive real feedback, not just playing time. At the 4-week and 8-week marks, players receive reports outlining: -What they do well -How to be effective within games -What to focus on to expand their role This creates clarity, confidence, and purpose. WHAT PLAYERS CAN EXPECT Structured, high-level practices Clear roles and expectations Competitive game opportunities Emphasis on skill application, not just running sets Coaching that values teaching, communication, and growth MGELITE is not about chasing exposure — it’s about earning reps that make a difference. WHO MGELITE IS FOR MGELITE is a great fit for players who: Want to improve, not just play games Are coachable and competitive Value development within a team environment Are committed to consistent effort Players in MGELITE compete locally and regionally while continuing to develop for their school seasons.
